Frequently Asked Questions

Do your courses satisfy the California Architects Board continuing education requirement?
YES. Our 5-hour California Disabled Access Course completely satisfies CAB's continuing education requirement. You may also combine our shorter courses with other courses taken here or elsewhere to meet the five hour requirement.

Please be aware that some course providers offer courses that claim to comply with California law; however, if the course content does not contain a significant amount of California access law, you risk delaying your license renewal. In other words, courses that only cover the ADA do not comply with SB1608.

Do you provide a Certificate of Completion?
Yes. Upon completion, your certificate will be emailed to you immediately. You may also download your certificate from the "My Completed Courses Page".

I took your course for my last renewal, may I take it again for credit?
YES. Our course may be taken for each renewal.

Who is the course author?
Our courses are prepared by a California-licensed architect with over 20 years of experience applying access laws to new and remodeled commercial, industrial, educational, medical and residential facilities.

To ensure that a course is actually completed, we withhold the course author's name until you complete your course.

Are your courses accepted by the California Architects Board?

YES. It has been our honor to have California-licensed architects from 48 states, DC, 3 U.S. Territories, and 23 other countries around the world as our customers. Be assured that those who have submitted our course to CAB have indeed had their licenses renewed.

WE GUARANTEE CAB ACCEPTANCE!

If the California Architects Board rejects our course, your purchase price will be refunded upon verification of rejection if we cannot secure acceptance for you.

Do other states, the AIA, and other organizations accept your course for mandatory continuing education?
Maybe. Most of the states we have checked in the past will accept our courses; however, rules change all the time and we cannot guarantee that you will receive credit from any entity other than the California Architects Board. If you are interested, please ask your state or organization if they will accept our course. If you need our assistance, please send us an email.

Some states that will accept our courses require a quiz. We offer a quiz to supplement our courses at no additional charge. Our quiz is available here: http://architectce.myicourse.com/menu/menu/38804.

Note: California DOES NOT require completion of the quiz.

As of January 1, 2012, the AIA no longer accepts self reporting of HSW credits.

We are not an AIA/CES provider -- We cannot provide AIA HSW credit -- However, you may self report our courses for general LU credit.

How do I receive credit for the course?
You receive credit when you complete the course and certify that you have spent the required time on the course. Once you do, the course is complete and your Certificate of Completion will be emailed to you immediately.
